Our Story

Welcome to my site! My name is Jennifer Holmes, owner and sole photographer at Lucky Heart Photography. I have been a photographer since 2005. I started my career with studio work, dabbled in some wedding photography and branched off on my own in 2010. My passion is outdoor family photography. From 2010 to 2015 I focused on children and family photography at local Central Florida parks but then in 2016 I had my first child and I took a hiatus from my photography business. I then quickly had a second child a year later and life has been a rollercoaster since then! My children are now 5 and 6 years old and I am finally finding some spare time to do what I love. I am local to Winter Springs Florida and service areas within 5-20 miles of my 32708 area code.

My Mission

My 6-year-old son Hudson was born with a Congenital Heart Defect and a very rare bleeding disorder and platelet dysfunction. He had open heart surgery in Jan 2023. We stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in Gainesville for 2 weeks during his in-patient care. This is where my idea for non-profit photography was sparked. I was amazed by the facility and everything they do for families while their child is under hospital care. It just touched me beyond belief, and I am so grateful for the experience. My Mission is to do what I love while benefiting a cause.

I have decided to dedicate my photography services to benefit the UF Shands Children’s Hospital & Ronald McDonald House of North Central Florida and to encourage people to donate Platelets (a platelet infusion saved my son’s life during his operation).
